Kurenai no Tsuribashi suspension bridge
A 25 minute drive from the Nishinasuno-shiobara Interchange. A red suspension bridge crossing the Hoki River behind the Shiobara Imagination Archives. The bridge is 52.5 meters long. The Hoki River in the Shiobara Hot Springs Village district is dotted with hot springs with differing water qualities, and this area is known as the “11 springs of Shiobara.” The Kurenai no Tsuribashi suspension bridge is in the center of this area and the vicinity is famous as one of the top destinations in Shiobara for enjoying autumn foliage. The Japanese maples and other trees seen from the bridge are quite beautiful; there’s also a 900 meter long walking trail across the bridge which visitors can follow and take in their fill of fall colors and mountain stream scenery.
