Roughly eight minutes on foot from Kawaramachi Station, this restaurant features local Sanuki cuisine. The traditional local cuisine is recreated by Mr. Ryushi Matsuoka using only the day’s freshest ingredients from Sanuki’s abundant harvest. The first floor has counter seating and seating around a stove, while the second floor has tables for relaxing under andon lamp lighting, and Japanese-style rooms. You can order course meals with local sake, or order a la carte to get the famous “kankan zushi”, or “kawazakana no hirarani” —slowly simmered over three days.

高松のまいまい亭さんへ訪問。まんばのけんちゃんやふくさやき、鮎のひらひら煮などを食べました。特に、穴子めしがおいしかった。

当地在住の友人を訪問した際、「折角なら郷土料理を」とのことで案内されました。讃岐料理は見た目の派手さはありませんが、しっかりとした味付けで日本酒・ワインにとても合います。女将からの料理や調度品トークも素晴らしく、あっという間に時間が過ぎました。
