A roadside station about 10 minutes by car on the Wakimachi Interchange. The facility is a renovated old storehouse, appearing to melt into the surrounding town of Udatsu with its Edo period atmosphere. The retail shop on the first floor sells products made in Tokushima Prefecture. The second floor has a free rest area and a cafe, where you can eat handmade ice cream and meals made with Awaodori chicken. “Mimakara” ice cream has local specialty Ao-togarashi spice that adds some spice to the sweetness. Walking around Yoshida Residence or the Udatsu streets of Wakimachi is recommended.

休息や食事を摂れる道の駅です。うだつの町並みに隣接しているため、ここに車を置いて巡るのも良いですよ。
うだつ街並み観光に便利な駐車場

うだつの街並みのメインストリートは観光客は車で通行できません。そのためこちらの道の駅に無料で駐車しました。この辺りでは藍染が名産とのことで、道の駅では様々な藍染品が展示されています。うだつの概要を学ぶのに良い場所です。

道の駅藍ランドうだつ（みちのえきあいらんどうだつ）は、徳島県美馬市脇町大字脇町（とくしまけんみましわきまちおおあざわきまち）にある道の駅だ。うだつとは「うだつが上がらない」のうだつのことで、藍染めで財をなしたこの町は「うだつが上がっている」ことで有名だ。1829年の大火で169棟が焼失したことから、防火用のうだつを設置する家が増えたそうだ...
