Yoshiumi Iki-iki Kan Roadside Station

This roadside station is located on Oshima Island in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, at the base of the Kurushima-kaikyo-ohashi Bridge, which is actually three successive suspension bridges on the Shimanami Kaido Expressway. Inside are shops and sales outlets of specialty products with lots of fresh, locally caught seafood, marine products and souvenirs on sale. There is an area where visitors can enjoy grilled seafood and have a barbecue while looking out over the Kurushima-kaikyo-ohashi Bridge and a popular restaurant serving seafood set meals, etc. Also on offer during the winter months is as much oyster as you can eat.

鯛の塩ラーメンがかなり美味しいです。セットで頼んだ鯛めしは、昨晩に美味しいものを頂いたので、ちょっと、いまいちでした。こちらは、海鮮BBQもやっていました。時間がある時に、是非、チャレンジしてみたいです。
七輪で焼く新鮮な海産物は絶品。魚や貝はもちろん鯛めしなどもオススメ。

2018年11月に社員旅行で伺いました。来島海峡の急流体験が肌寒かったため、その後七輪で頂く海産物とビールは絶品。貝などは通常臭いが気になりますが、すべて新鮮で臭みを感じませんでした。その頃には日光も指してきて、陽気な瀬戸内の雰囲気を新鮮な魚介類が更に引き立ててくれます。

しまなみ街道を自転車で今治から出発すると次に降りれるのがここ大島。ここで昼食を済ませるためやってきました。屋外では海鮮のバーベキュー施設がありましたが、あえて中のレストランを利用。うどんと鯛めしのセットでお腹いっぱいに。ミカンのソフトクリームで〆て次を目指します。
