Yamadaya is a popular udon restaurant in Mure Town, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, famous for the queues often found at the restaurant. The specially prepared udon noodles made with traditional techniques and using their special flour and local water have a fine reputation for being smooth in texture and high in taste. Popular dishes include their kama-bukake with hot noodles and chewy texture, and their tempura udon topped with a large shrimp. The restaurant is housed within a stately looking Japanese house designated as a National Tangible Cultural Property and the immaculately maintained garden is also very beautiful.
