Founded in 1977, Miyaketei is a popular restaurant with authentic, homemade Western dishes. The cuisine is uniformly superb, carefully made with select ingredients including fresh seafood from the Seto Inland Sea, vegetables from Okayama Prefecture, and wagyu beef from Hiroshima Prefecture. Their most popular dish is beef tongue stew, made with beef from Ibara in Okayama Prefecture. At Miyaketei Bistro you can enjoy a leisurely meal in its homey and relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is about a 10-minute walk from JR Kurashiki Station.

3人で行きました。店に入ったとたん、「何人？」とぶっきらぼうに言われました。お冷やを持って来ると、「ドンッ‼︎」と音を立てて置かれ、オーダー時には「それを？」何人分いるんだ！と言わんばかりの態度。料理を運んで来ると、無言のまま、またもや「ドンッ‼︎」と嫌がらせのように置かれました。でも他客への接客は明るい。この差は何？どうやらランチタイム終了間際に入店してしまったようでした。それなら断ってくれれば...
タンシチューがおいしい

美観地区の入り口付近にありました。赤レンガ作りの素敵な外観なのですが民家っぽく見えて一瞬入るのを躊躇いました。人気だという牛タンシチューをいただきましたが本当に柔らかくておいしいし、量もすごくたっぷりありました。
