This is a specialty store of momiji manju sweets, about a six minute walk from Hiroshima Station, Hikari Town, Higashi Ward, Hiroshima City. There are six types of momiji manju including koshian and tsubuan (strained and unstrained bean paste), cheese cream, chocolate, rice cake, and sweet potato. In addition, fresh nama momiji with a moist texture, and shuka momiji using sake lees in the dough, as well as seasonal confectionery are available.

広島三大もみじ饅頭メーカーの一つがにしき堂。広島市民の家によって好みは藤い屋、にしき堂、やまだやと分かれるが藤い屋とにしき堂は、味がよく似ておりお土産としては鉄板だろう。特にこしあんは昔ながらの伝統的なものなので外せないだろう。ちなみにもみじ饅頭を揚げても美味しい

普通の広島焼きは食べたことはありますが、なかなか生もみじは食べる機会がなくやっと購入する事が出来ました。もちもちして美味しかったです。こし餡、粒餡、抹茶餡を頂きました。

もみじ饅頭が看板商品の和菓子のお店です。本店の方へは初めて訪問しました。今回は以前から気になっていた「生もみじ」を購入。生地に広島県産の餅粉と米粉を使用しており、もちもち、嫉妬した感じで、なかなか美味しかったですよ。こちらのもみじ饅頭などは、県内の直営店や空港や駅でも購入できます。
