Arima Koeido

Japanese Confectionery
Arima Koeido, founded in the Edo period, is a long-established confectionery store located in Omori Town, Ohda City, Shimane Prefecture, which is famous for the world heritage site, Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine. The store is famous for a sweet called getanoha, which it is said, miners who used to work in the silver mine, liked and ate. The baked confectionery with its simple taste made only with flour, eggs, brown sugar, and sugar, is popular with tourists as a classic souvenir from the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine. The store's ginzan-ame sweet with its aroma of brown sugar and soybeans is also popular. The purely Japanese style shop with its feeling of days gone by will touch the heart of any traveler.
