FRANCE-YA
A Japanese and Western style restaurant located about three minutes walk from Saijo Station, directly managed by the well established sake brewery, Kamotsuru Sake Brewing. In the restaurant building built in the style of a Kyoto townhouse, guests can enjoy the dishes made with seasonal ingredients along with a glass of some of Kamotsuru’s finest sake. The restaurant interior has a relaxed feel reminiscent of the Taisho period, offering Western food on the first floor and Japanese food on the second floor. The restaurant is particularly famed for its creative cuisine only made possible by being connected with a sake brewery, such as their Hiroshima beef cheek simmered for four hours in sake and red wine, and their bishonabe (a hot pot of ingredients and sake), a dish born from the meals of brewery workers.
