A select food shop located in a residential area a little ways off from the Bikan Historical Quarter in Hommachi, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. The shop operates out of a remodeled warehouse built in the Taisho period which once belonged to the Morita Shuzo sake brewery. The shop is crowded with carefully selected delicious things from around the country; Heisuiken always stocks over 1,000 different items. Focusing on traditional Japanese foods, the shop carries a wide array of delicacies, from cheeses and jams to seasonings and even foods from other countries.

Okayama Main Areas
Overshadowed by Hiroshima to the west and the Kansai region to the east, Okayama is an easy spot to miss but a nature-rich gem where the Seto Inland Sea laps at its toes and peach and grape farms complete its interior. One of Japan's Three Great Gardens, Koraku-en in Okayama city is well worth a visit before progressing to Kurashiki, where preserved wooden Edo buildings line the picturesque canal.
