This art museum is run by Koriyama City in Fukushima Prefecture. It has four major exhibitions: British art including Turner, modern Japanese art including Ryusei Kishida, works from artists hailing from Koriyama such as Yukimura and wood block printing such as book cover designs and so on. Exhibition contents are changed four times a year so visitors can see different works each season. There is a bronze statue in the garden which visitors can enjoy strolling around.

充実の地方美術館

地方美術館としては規模が大きく内容も充実していた。その割にはシニア割などもあり助かる。兵士として死亡してしまった作家を中心にした無言館展が企画展、常設展の方も充実していた。
錦絵オンパレード

「挑む浮世絵」というタイトルで歌川国芳（66点）と月岡芳年(44点）を中心に150点の錦絵が展示されていた。大判3枚組のものが多かったので描かれていた人物像を辿るのも随分と骨が折れ目を休めることもしばしばだった。中では「相馬の古内裏」や、アンチンボルト風に人体を組み合わせた「としよりのよふな若い人だ」に意表を突く面白さがあった。また「忠臣蔵両国橋勢揃図」等での群衆の精細な表情や、戯画に富んだ「源頼...
くまのパディントン展

外国で出版されたパディントンの本など、普段見ることが出来ないものもあり、面白かったです。パディントン、とてもかわいかったのでグッズがもっと種類豊富だったら良かったです。
