3M Sendai City Science Museum, which is located in the northeast corner of Dainohara Forest Park, is a municipal science museum that developed out of a science education facility originally founded in 1952. The Museum has interactive displays relating to the sciences, natural history, and everyday life. By enabling visitors to “see, touch and try” the latest technologies (and natural history specimens), the Museum aims to foster an interest in science. 3M Sendai City Science Museum also has science shows and experimental “laboratories”; a real effort has been made to ensure that a visit to this Museum is fun and enjoyable for both children and their parents.

A nice museum for demonstrating scientific concepts to children. Very fun. We stayed an hour and a half but you could eaily spend much longer. Some of the displays and exhibits have aged badly but...

理系大学生です.友人と見に行ってきました.正直子供向けだろうと思ってあまり期待していなかったのですが,とてもクオリティが高く予想外でした.小学生以下の子供には難しすぎるので少し勿体無い気がしましたが,最低でも高校の物理・化学を一通り学んでから見ると凄く面白いです.ぜひ理系の受験生や大学生などにもっと行ってほしいと思います.

科学館は昔の場所では校外授業があったりして、物理実験何かもしてましたが、現在の場所でも常設している展示物の外、時折、変わった展示を行います。最近では、毒キノコ展？があり、昨年に引き続き、新鮮な本物が展示されました。また、テラス？に出れば床面がグレーチングなので、直下がスケスケですのでスリルも味わえます。
