Tohoku Safari Park東北サファリパーク

This is a zoo in Shiozawa Hot Spring, Nihonmatsu City, about 15 minutes by car from Nihonmatsu Interchange. Within the facility, carnivores such as lions and tigers and approximately 1,100 herbivorous animals such as African elephants and giraffes run free in the expansive grounds. Visitors can enjoy a thrilling feeling of exploration by taking a trip around the park by car, rent-a-car or a zoo bus. In addition, visitors can see unusual animals up close as well as white lions and white zebras in the park, and can feed the animals from the car in the herbivorous area.

i was visiting here due to attending the Ebisu Drifting Circuit. I did have a quick look around the park and found it to be extremely upsetting. The lions, tigers and bears are kept in concrete cages...
Reviewed:2014/12/19 How dare they treat animals like this!
This park is vile, I cannot believe they are aloud to keep animals like this. Poor elephants are tied up with chains and the lions are kept in tiny cages so that tourists can come and take pictures...
