Tohoku Safari Park (東北サファリパーク)

This is a zoo in Shiozawa Hot Spring, Nihonmatsu City, about 15 minutes by car from Nihonmatsu Interchange. Within the facility, carnivores such as lions and tigers and approximately 1,100 herbivorous animals such as African elephants and giraffes run free in the expansive grounds. Visitors can enjoy a thrilling feeling of exploration by taking a trip around the park by car, rent-a-car or a zoo bus. In addition, visitors can see unusual animals up close as well as white lions and white zebras in the park, and can feed the animals from the car in the herbivorous area.
