A souvenir shop and restaurant located at the entrance to Oirase Gorge. As well as the Oirase Garden restaurant which serves food using ingredients from Aomori and the shop which sells Aomori souvenirs, there is a small market which sells seasonal fruit and vegetables making it the perfect place for all the things you’ll need on a stroll along the mountain stream.

奥入瀬渓流の入口、お土産はココ

奥入瀬渓流の入口、焼山にある道の駅です。奥入瀬渓流には小さな休憩所しかないので、渓流の散策前や散策後に、ここで食事をしたり、買い物をしたりするのがお勧めです。十和田バラ焼きなど、青森の名産が食べられます。
バラ焼きを食べましたがそれほどでも・・とにかく暑い・・・

エアコンがなく暑いです。今までは良かったのでしょうが、昨今の夏は奥入瀬も汗だくでエアコンがないとしんどいです。名物バラ焼きを食べましたがこんなもんか・・という感じです。肉好きの私でもさしてグレードの高い食い物ではなくただしょっぱいだけという感じがしましたが、妻はとても喜んでいました。

奥入瀬渓流の玄関口にあるレストハウスですが、今回は十和田湖方面からドライブしてきたので出口になりました。お土産の売店では、青森特産のニンニクの加工品やリンゴのスイーツなど色々ありました。また、レストランではご当地グルメの十和田バラ焼きや八戸せんべい汁などのメニューもありました。
