A visitor’s center located near the Urabandai Plateau, the entranceway to the east side of the Goshiki-numa Nature Trail, one of the top hiking courses in Urabandai. The center presents exhibits and videos which help visitors to the area further enjoy the nature and wildlife of Urabandai. Staff also provide personalized mountain climbing and trekking course advice, and many tourists make the center their first stop before heading out. The center rents boots, binoculars, and other equipment, and periodically holds nature watching meetings and other events.

裏磐梯観光の拠点ともなる場所です。見るだけでもきれいだな〜！という自然の数々（おもに五色沼を中心とした）ですが、知識として裏磐梯の紹介がなされていました。

お手洗いを借りに立ち寄らせてもらいました。館内では五色沼、熊情報、鳥や植物の事など知ることができます。本物の植物の実などクイス形式で紹介されていたり、シオラマもあり、熊の足跡もあり。なので、お手洗いだけのつもりが、わりと館内を見てまわってしまいました。
