The Come On Park Shinminato roadside rest area has aquarium tanks where visitors can view fish and White Prawns from Toyama Bay. The local produce corner, where visitors can buy white prawns (which are a Shinminato specialty) and other marine products, and the Early Morning Market which is held on Saturdays and Sundays from April to December, are very popular. The restaurant serves a variety of white prawn cuisine. The Come On Park Shinminato is located around 15-minute drive from the Kosugi Interchange of the Hokuriku Expressway.

国道8号線を石川県方面へ走行中に富山市を過ぎると直ぐにある道の駅です。ドライブ中のトイレ休憩にも、昼食を食べるのにも便利なのですが、お土産品の品揃えが多くてつい買ってしまいます。

氷見と富山の中間に位置する道の駅。地元の海産物が数多く入手できます。名産の白エビも販売してましたが高価で手が出ず、なくなく施設内の新湊食堂で白エビのかき揚げ天ぷらそばをいただきました。また、地元の醤油を発見したので購入しました。トイレ休憩＋αに最適な道の駅でした。
コロナの中でも名産品をがんばって売っています。

射水市内の観光名所の特産品を売るお店の多くがコロナの影響でほとんど全滅状態の中で、カモンパーク新湊だけが唯一といってもよいくらい営業しています。こんな時期でも射水市内で特産品を安心して買い物ができるのが魅力です。今回は贈答用に季節商品である白エビの刺身の昆布〆を購入し東京へ宅配便で配送してもらいました。白エビは高級品だけに値段はとても高いけれど、今が旬の名産品なので売っていて本当によかったと感じま...
