Gallery Mita is an art gallery located on National Route 159 in 1 Chome, Owari Town, Kanazawa City. Besides paintings and antiques, the gallery also sells local handicraft products. The gallery is housed in a Western-style building constructed in 1930; as relatively few of this style of building survive in Japan, it has been designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property. Gallery Mita also has its own café.

レトロな洋館

浅野川大橋の近くの橋場町交差点の少し西にあります。なかなかおしゃれな外観の建物で、国登録有形文化財だそうです。ギャラリーなので多少入りにくい感じもありますが、外観だけの見学だけでも価値がある場所だと思います。
素敵な洋館

浅野川大橋付近を歩いている時に見つけた洋館。恐る恐る覗いてみるとギャラリーとなっているものの陳列されているのは骨董品のようです。九谷焼の小皿などが窓際に並んでいて早速妻が食いつきました。とても安いので数点購入しようかとも思いましたが、すでに小皿と箸置き・醤油スプレーを購入していましたので今回は我慢です。飛行機の旅は時にこんなこともありますね。
