The Yakushusho-no-Yakata Kanaoka-tei Residence is a museum located on Prefectural Route 177 in 1 Chome, Shinjo Town, Toyama City. The museum has exhibits on traditional medicine manufacturing, focusing on the Toyama medicine industry, which has a history going back 300 years. The museum’s main building was built in the early Meiji period, and was originally a store belonging to the Kanaoka family of medicine vendors, who made an important contribution to the development of Toyama Prefecture by investing in infrastructure projects, banks, a university, etc. A wide variety of exhibits, including an entire wall of traditional medicine storage cupboards, give visitors a real sense of the history of Toyama’s traditional medicine industry.

富山市内にある富山の薬の歴史に触れる為 3軒の資料館を訪問した内の1軒です（他の2軒[池田屋安兵衛商店][廣貫堂資料館]）。3軒の内こちらは富山地鉄の東新庄駅の近くにある為他の2軒と比較するとアクセスとして少し面倒ですが多少時間的に余裕あり富山の薬の歴史に触れると言う意味ではこちらの訪問を一番お薦めします。又建築物鑑賞ファンの方必見です、《店舗の畳縁（たたみべり）》が綿製や麻...

なんとなく行きましたが富山を知る重要な史跡です。薬から地元の歴史を学べますよ。結婚式の前撮りの花嫁さんにも出会えました
国登録有形文化財です。

県民会館分館金岡邸です。こちらは薬種商で、薬の原料や製造についての展示をしています。入場料200円で、これだけの展示物が見られるのでオススメです。
