Sushi

Wajima Sushi Restaurant Shinpuku in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture is a popular sushi restaurant not only for tourists but also for locals. The owner who worked as a fisherman is a true connoisseur and uses only natural ingredients caught from the local sea. It is famous for Noto asaichidon, a rice bowl topped with fresh seafood landed at the port in Noto. The nigiri set meal using local ingredients and Noto local cuisine are also popular. You can feel free to have lunch and also enjoy sushi and a la carte dishes with local sake in the evening.

Long, thin Ishikawa prefecture runs along the Sea of Japan up into Noto Peninsula. Highlights of the seaside towns lining the west coast include Kanazawa, often described as a "Little Kyoto" thanks to its old wooden tea houses and geisha culture as well as its picturesque Japanese garden, Kenroku-en.
