This small roadside station is located in Shimoakadani, Tainai City, Niigata Prefecture along Prefectural Road 53, known as “Tainai Ninoji Koen Hagurosen.” It is built to resemble a log cabin that is situated among the grandeur of the mountains and river. Relieve yourself from the fatigue of your drive by resting near the wood-burning stove. You’ll find souvenir shops as well as a tourist information center inside. There’s also the “Kua House Tainai” hot spring facility nearby, as well as “Tarugahashi Amusement Park,” which contains both an amusement park and a zoo.

かなりこじんまりとした道の駅。お土産などもあまりないしトイレ休憩用という感じかな。ご当地の女性アイドルをやたらと推してるようでした。近くの越後胎内観音はいい雰囲気で好きです。

ログハウス風の建屋がメインの道の駅でした。駐車スペースはあまり多くありません。普段はそれで充分なのでしょうが、私が訪問した当日は、胎内出身のアイドルの写真集の販売会が実施中で、大行列ができてました。中には近隣のJR駅からタクシー飛ばしてきた客もいて、ファンってありがたいですね。この施設では観光PR大使でもあるアイドルを前面に推しているしるようで、館内にも大量の写真が展示されていました。観光PRを実...
