Teraguchi (てらぐち)
3.5
A soba noodle restaurant and souvenir shop located close to the Eihei-ji Temple in Eiheiji Town, Yoshida County, Fukui Prefecture. The restaurant’s ni-hachi soba noodles, handmade daily using Fukui buckwheat flour, are aromatic and pleasing in texture. The oroshi soba, soba noodles topped with a heaping pile of grated daikon radish and eaten with a broth made with added grated daikon juice, is a local Fukui dish. The restaurant’s souvenir shop sells famous Fukui sake brands and popular local sweets.

14時過ぎに食事に訪れたので店舗はがら空き状態でした。
永平寺の真ん前にあり、食事すると駐車場が無料になるらしいのですが、知らずに下の方の駐車場に停めてしまい、勿体ない事をしました。

Fukui Areas

Northeast of Kyoto, the ancient Tojinbo Cliffs separate Fukui prefecture from the Sea of Japan in a stretch of land well worth exploring. Water sports and seaside delicacies are available in abundance as the spectacular rugged coastline flattens down into beaches to the west of the prefecture, while inland, Fukui is home to Zen Buddhist temples and historic ruins.
