Kaiseki/Kappo Traditional Japanese Cuisine

A restaurant produced by Zeniya, one of Kanazawa’s top Japanese restaurants, located in the “Higashi Chaya District” in Higashiyama, Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Situated inside a remodeled former tea house built in the Edo period, this subdued and relaxing establishment has a sunken hearth-style counter and beautiful inner garden. Jugatsuya also has private rooms perfect for banquets and entertaining clients. One of the most popular items on the daytime menu is the bento lunch served in a bamboo basket, which comes with seasonal Japanese dishes and jibuni duck meat stew, a local delicacy. During the afternoon, Jugatsuya offers cake sets; at night, customers can enjoy reservation-only kaiseki course cuisine.
