Japanese Confectionery

A Japanese confectionary shop located in Futakuchi Town, Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture renowned for its elegant and dainty castle town-style sweets. The shop’s shelves are lined with seasonal fresh, dried, and baked sweet prepared by the hands of artisans. The shop’s signature item is its Kaga shikishi a snack assortment focusing primarily on colorful senbei rice crackers made with chewy glutinous rice. About the size of a person’s palm, these lovely treats are decorated with traditional natural themes and look like works of art. The uchiwa senbei, decorated rice crackers skewered on a toothpick to resemble a traditional Japanese fan, are popular to offer as gifts in summer.
