Sasayaki no Komichi (Whisper Lane)
This walking path in Kasuganocho, Nara City extends from south of the Ni-no-torii (second gate) gate at Kasuga Taisha Shrine to Takabatake-cho. The path, lined on both sides by old-growth Japanese pieris, is believed to have been walked by many well-known intellectuals. Its official name is Shimo-no-Negimichi (lower path for senior priests of Shinto shrines).
