Saro Halftime

This is a cafe located in the Todai-ji Temple Culture Center, next to the south gate of the Todai-ji Temple in Suimon Town, Nara City, Nara Prefecture. Customers can enjoy sweets such as moon cake called Nippei, modelled on the National Treasure statue of Nikko / Gekko (sun and moon light) Bodhisattva, and Azekura Baumkuchen, which is made with the motif of the Shosoin log house in Todai-ji Temple accompanied with green powdered tea or sencha. The cafe also sells sweets and tea utensils only available at the Todai-ji museum.
