This is a well-known “kishimen” noodle restaurant located in Higashi Ward in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, and you’ll often see a line outside. It opened in 1921 and prepares the noodles completely by hand, including kneading, lengthening, and cutting. Its famous kishimen noodles are smooth and chewy, making for a delightful dining experience. The “ebi oroshi kishimen,” which features cold noodles with prawn tempura, is popular as well. There are also light, warm noodle dishes available during the cold seasons.

仕事関係の方に教えて頂いた、名古屋の高級住宅地東区白壁にある、大正時代から続くきしめん店です。日本初の女優と謳われた川上貞奴が大正から昭和初期にかけ暮らした邸宅二葉館から目と鼻の先にあります。通り過ぎてしまいそうな１軒屋ですが、暖簾も奥ゆかしく、玄関先は端正に整えられ、店内も大変明るく清潔な造りとなっています。麺は、うどん、きしめん、蕎麦から選択できますが、やはり、「きしめんで！」という声が多いよ...

外堀通りの飯田町交差点を北に入ったところにあります。懐かしい雰囲気の老舗きしめん店です。この店のきしめんは、うどんに近いもので、小麦の香りがして厚さがあります。モチモチとした食感で噛み応えがあります。きしめん自身の味を楽しみたいなら、冬場は釜揚げ、夏場はざるにするとよいかもしれません。麺も出汁も美味しいきしめんがいただけるお店でした。
