The market mainly sells freshly caught fish from the port, homemade sun baked dried fish, and processed seafood products. Popular as a souvenir and famous throughout the country is the Mikawa Bay dried young sardines, clams, and the round greeneyes fish. There is a place where you can scoop up as many clams as you like with your hands which is popular both with children and adults. Lots of specialty products from Aichi are sold in the market such as shrimp crackers, boiled fish-paste, Hatcho miso, and kishimen (flat noodles).

平日ということでお客も少なく賑わいを感じられませんでした。何かひきつけるものが無ければと思えました。近海ものとか地場産業の物とか、値打ちな値段にするとか、魅力を前面に出してもらえると良くなると思いました。
タカアシガニがありました

刺身に干物に地元の魚を中心にメロンやみかんもありました。驚くことにタカアシガニも売られていました。中で食事ができないことが残念です。

もっと賑わってるとこを知ってるからか、やや物足りなさを感じた。料金も決して安いとは思えなかった。ロシア産の冷凍の魚とかあったり、もう少しここでしか買えないものを売って欲しいなーと思った。
