Fujisawa Seika

Other Food
Fujisawa Seika is a long-established cake shop which has continued to make the genkotsuame candy in the downtown area of Inuyama Castle since the Meiji period. The handmade candies made with brown sugar and sesame seeds, syrup, and soybean flour, contain many minerals and vitamins and have a simple, rustic flavor with a hint of cinnamon. It is also said that the Lord of Inuyama Castle would treat his retainers to the sweets as food in battle because the sweets were full of nutrition. Sweets branded with the Inuyama City official character, Wanmaru-kun, are also very popular. The nearest station is Inuyama Station.
