Takiharanomiya Shrine

This is the associated shrine of the prestigious Koutai Shrine (the inner shrine of Ise Shrine) which has been called “Omikami no Tonomiya” (another shrine for Amaterasu) since long ago. Unlike other auxiliary shrines, it is parallel with Takihara-narabinomiya Shrine and has many places with holds. Large Japanese cedar trees that are over several hundred years old in the sacred area. Sacredness and grandeur can be felt with their presence. Worshippers generally go from Takiharanomiya Shrine to Takihara-narabinomiya.
