Cape Irago Lighthouse
A lighthouse which stands on the tip of the Atsumi Peninsula which has been selected as one of the 50 most scenic lighthouses in Japan. From the area of the lighthouse, you can get a sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean, Ise Bay, and Mikawa Bay. The lighthouse serves a valuable role as a marker for ships coming into and leaving port. The medium-sized, white-walled lighthouse stands out against the blue of the ocean and sky. Visitors may only explore the area around the lighthouse; the interior is closed to the general public.
