Wagashi Ki-no-Kuniya was founded in 1789 as a travelers lodge, however two generations ago they began making manju buns and other Japanese confectionaries. Their Meoto (Couple) Manju, certified as a Fujisawa tourism special product, is made from a mixture of white and brown handmade azuki red-bean paste which includes sake and brown sugar respectively. Also available are their popular scallop shell shaped Ice Cream Monaka.

江ノ島名物の夫婦まんじゅうを食べました。食べたのは、写真のつぶあんです。小さくて一口で食べれました。歩き疲れた体にちょうどいい甘さでした。

江ノ島に遊びに行ったついでに江ノ島モナカと女夫まんじゅうを一箱ずつ購入しました。おじさんの定員さんの態度がすごく悪くもう2度と買うことはないでしょう。おまんじゅうの味は普通。同じようなお饅頭は買えるので2度と買うことはないでしょう。

名物の夫婦まんじゅうだけではなく、団子もおいしい!階段で疲れた体に、みたらしの香ばしさがたまりません。
