Rinko Park (臨港パーク)

Park / Green Space

Rinko Park is one of the outdoor areas surrounding the Pacifico Yokohama and the largest tract of green land in the Minatomirai area. The wonderful location overlooking Yokohama Port spreads out in front of your eyes, and you can feel the seasons from the grasses, plants, and installations. The Pukari-sanbashi Pier, which is a terminal for sea bass and cruise ships traveling around Yokohama Port is also nearby, so s visit to Rinko Park is highly recommended. It is ten minutes’ walk from Minatomirai Station on the Tokyu Minatomirai Line.

Kanagawa prefecture acts as an extension of the Tokyo metropolis that spills over into coastal towns, most notably Yokohama city, heavily populated and known for its Chinatown and seaside attractions. Just the right distance for a day trip out of Tokyo, Kanagawa is home to some of Tokyo’s most accessible beaches, including around Kamakura, best known for its Big Buddha. Visitors can also travel a little farther afield for a weekend at Hakone onsen town.
