This soba restaurant is about a five-minute walk from Togendai Station on the Hakone Ropeway. The authentic Japanese interior offers a wonderful view of Lake Ashi and a subdued atmosphere in which you can enjoy your meals. The soba is made with Hokkaido stone-ground grade-one flour and is completely organic, allowing for a truly natural taste. The thin noodles complement the dried bonito and mackerel soup stock perfectly. Among the options are “sanroku soba,” made with amazingly flavorful “sanroku pork,” and “tennen ebi (natural shrimp) tenzaru” soba. The soba filled with Izu seaweed is another popular choice.

This place offers great noodles right next to the lake in a traditional manner. If you are looking for a good place to eat, with relatively low prices and a traditional setting, definitely stop by!

Great noodle shop with both hot and cold varieties. Seems to be always crowded so they don’t take reservations.

Went to Miyoshi for an early lunch around 11.30am on a Sunday. I had the mochi to start followed by cool noodles with prawns. Food was very good. Would recommend. Staff very friendly.
