Daikokuya
This tofu shop founded in 1868 is located in Shuzenji, Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture and is the tofu shop of choice for many hot spring resorts and hotels in the area. The Shuzenji Yuba tofu made with soybeans from Japan and the famous waters of Shuzenji, is their most popular product. If you eat it, as it is simply by itself, you can enjoy a rich, mellow taste and thick texture. They also sell black rice tofu made with locally-produced black rice, and a special ganmodoki, a deep-fried tofu mixed with lots of thinly sliced vegetables.
