Bakery Café Le Feuillageベーカリーカフェ ル・フィヤージュ

Other Coffee Shop

This is a bakery café set deep inside a quiet forest in Shizuoka Prefecture’s Ito City. The fragrance of fresh-baked bread wafts inside the shop, and they normally carry more than 80 types of hand-made bread ranging from French bread made with natural yeast, to Paris-style croissants, German bread, and pastries. There are seats available inside the store and on the terrace, and pets are allowed on the terrace seats. In addition to the bread one has purchased, guests can also enjoy a menu arranged for the season with items such as lunch sets.

With the giant Pacific Ocean to the south and the great Mount Fuji to the north, Shizuoka prefecture is blessed with some of the best views the country has to offer. The white sand beaches of the Izu Peninsula are a rare find on mainland Japan, neighbored by beautiful cliffs, tumbling hills, and natural hot springs. As Japan’s largest producer of green tea, the age-old tradition of tea drinking is ubiquitous in Shizuoka, from the miles of tea fields to the old tea houses hosting traditional tea ceremonies.
