This restaurant located approximately five minutes on foot from Hakone-Yumoto Station is in a wooden three-story building overflowing with charm on the approach to the Yumoto-bashi Bridge. Built in the early part of the Showa period (late 1920s), it was used as a hot spring lodge and the first floor is open seating while the second floor features private rooms available by reservation. Their famous food is Soun-dofu, made by heating Hakone-Yumoto’s firm tofu in kombu dashi (seaweed stock) and topping with grated Japanese yam flavored with miso. In addition to course offerings, there are also meals and a la carte items, and guests can enjoy creative Japanese cuisine made with tofu and yams.

向こうが注文を間違えて料理を持ってきたのに指摘するとこちらに責任があるような言い様。女将の対応は良かったが、小娘は接客業とは思えないような客を見下したような対応で腹が立った。クビにするか潰れてほしい。

二度と行きたくないと思った店は初めてです...。何と言っても接客が底辺。格式が高いと思っていたので残念でした。女将なのか、年配の女性が接客を行なっていましたが、嫌味たらしい話し方。昔の人によくあるタイプなのでしょうか。お料理が届く前から嫌な気持ちで肝心の味もなんだか。ビジネスで利用しましたが、プライベートでも訪れたくないですね。
