Located on a backstreet of the Shuzenji hot spring town in Shizuoka Prefecture’s Izu City, this hideaway-like café has a simple yet elegant interior that catches the eye. The classic menu features chiffon cake that uses kurogome black rice, a specialty of Shuzenji, and it’s comforting gentle sweetness is appealing when taking a rest during a stroll. The Izu-gyu Hayashi Rice that is full of soft, stewed Izu-gyu beef is also popular. Guests can sit on the terrace seats with their pets and pets can also be brought into the café so long as they are in a carry case.
