Heidi's Villageハイジの村

Botanical Garden

This theme park recreates the world of the animation “Heidi, Girl of the Alps.” The spacious park features a variety of facilities, like lodging in “Clara’s House” and the “Flower Church” with real ceremonies. You can also tour on a Segway. During some seasons, a vivid assortment of flowers may be found blooming in the main village. In the restaurant, the cheese fondue which uses genuine Switzerland-made cheese is popular. The “Heidi Theme Museum” displays items connected to the animation, and you can purchase original goods found only in Heidi’s Village.

Yamanashi prefecture is the proud home of one of Japan's most celebrated icons: Mount Fuji. Although the mountain straddles both Yamanashi and Shizuoka, the most breathtaking views of Fuji-san can be seen from the Fuji Five Lakes north of the mountain in Yamanashi prefecture. The plethora of outdoor activities in and around the lakes all have the benefit of the country's highest mountain as their backdrop, and we can assure you that it is an unforgettable sight.
