Nanohana Park
A park fanning out from the bank of the Chikuma River in Mizuho, Iiyama City, Nagano Prefecture and the setting of the song Oborozukiyo. Each year in spring the park is covered in rape blossoms, a beautiful sight which looks almost as if a great yellow carpet has been spread across the land. The Iiyama Nanohana Flower Festival is held during the golden week holiday block in May. The park grounds serve as the main festival venue, and a variety of events are held here, including concerts and a mochi rice cake pounding rally.
