A day trip hot spring facility located Asama Onsen, Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. The history of the facility dates back 400 years to a hot spring palace created by Ishikawa Yasunaga, lord of Matsumoto Domain. The hot spring’s simple hot spring waters are colorless and slightly alkaline. The facility’s detached open air bath makes excellent use of the surrounding nature-rich scenery and is said to have been a favorite of generations of Matsumoto Domain lords. The facility also has a large bathhouse with a cypress open-air bath and a sauna. The facility is also able to accommodate even large groups. After your bath, you can enjoy a snack or meal in the facility’s café or Japanese restaurant.
