Yomiuri Shimbun Osaka Head Office

Other Factory Tour / Demonstration
The main Osaka office of the newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun is located about a 15-minute walk east of JR Osaka Station. Since the first issue of the Osaka Yomiuri Shimbun was published in 1952, it has been the company's base for expansion in the Kansai region. The building currently contains editorial and production facilities, as well as a printing plant. Tours are available to elementary schoolchildren in fourth grade or higher, and they even get to see the printing plant. In addition, they see samples of old-style lead type and cameras and original manuscripts of articles submitted by Ryotaro Shiba and other authors.
