48 Waterfalls of Takihata
They are about 15 minutes on foot from the last stop of the Nankai Bus going to Takihata Dam. In the ravine around Takihata, there are many steep rock surfaces, and the water flowing from Mt. Iwawaki and Mt. Minami Katsuragi become waterfalls. These waterfalls are collectively called the 48 Waterfalls of Takihata. In addition, it is also a scenic spot well known as a secret area since the natural environment is preserved and has not been altered by people. Kotaki, located in the upper reaches of Konanji Temple, is the largest, and the area is a popular outdoor spot because there is also a camping ground nearby. Takihata Dam is downstream, and together the site has been chosen as one of Osaka's top 100 green landscapes.
