Naniwa Taiyaki Pies (Eki Marche Shin-Osaka Store)なにわ鯛焼きパイ エキマルシェ新大阪店

This pie shop, found in JR Shin-Osaka Station's Eki Marche Shin Osaka shopping area is produced by the Juchheim group, famous for their baumkuchen. As the name would suggest this shop is well known for their specialty taiyaki (fish shaped pastry) shaped pies and offer delicious fillings such as anko (sweet adzuki red bean paste) and Naruto kintoki (sweet potato). The smaller sized Appare Taiyaki-kun financier are recommended as a great Osakan souvenir. Their menu also ranges beyond pies offering such as the mitarashi (sweet soy glaze) Appare Taiyaki-kun shortbreads and custard flan.

While Osaka prefecture is the country's second smallest prefecture, its capital, Osaka City, is the country's third-largest and arguably one of the most popular in the Kansai region thanks to its vibrant nightlife, the Osaka people's openness, and its much-loved cuisine, which has earned it the nickname “the nation's kitchen."
