Tennen Taiyaki, Osaka Naniwaya
This shop specializing in taiyaki pastries is found in the Tenjinbashi Suji Shopping Arcade. The shop was opened in Osaka as a spin off of the famous Azabujuban Naniwaya store in Tokyo, which was the model for the Japanese childrens' song Oyoge! Taikiyaki-kun. The taiyaki are made individually instead of in large batches, which is called Tennen-mono. Home-made anko (sweet red bean paste), takes eight hours to make, is made fresh every day, and is available for purchase by weight. During the summer a special shaved ice menu is offered using this homemade anko.
