Yoshinoya Himeyuri-dori Street Branch (吉野家 ひめゆり通り店)

3.5

Yoshinoya

This branch of the national beef rice bowl chain “Yoshinoya” is located on Himeyuri-dori Street. Okinawa's Yoshinoya locations feature a region-specific menu with items such as “taco rice,” which is rice topped with minced meat, cheese, lettuce, and salsa. This is a standard addition to the menu in Okinawa.

Reviewed:2013/08/19 Delicious, affordable!
We got carry-out last night, and we were pleasantly surprised with our meal from Yoshinoya. We fed our family of 4 for $15, and still have a little leftover! The food was great tasting and filling...

Let go of your image of a busy, ordered Japan and replace it with crystal-clear waters, white sand beaches, and relaxing folk music: You’ve arrived in Okinawa. A world away from the high intensity of Tokyo, Okinawans appear to live a laid-back beach life on this paradisiacal tropical island that lies in the middle of the East China Sea almost 1,000 kilometers south of mainland Japan’s most southern tip. Home to a spattering of islands, prepare yourself to discover underwater caves, star-shaped sand, and an island culture sometimes unrecognizable from mainland Japan.
