Ueba Esou (Kyoto Main Shop)

Ueba Esou is a nail salon in Kyoto's Shimogyo Ward. It was founded in 1751 as a maker of white gofun pigment and carried mainly tools and materials for Japanese-style painters. It still deals in these products for artists, but in recent years, it has begun to sell its Gofun Cosmetics Series, which includes nail art products and soap. Made from carefully selected natural ingredients, these nail art products are increasingly popular souvenirs of Kyoto, and some items are sold only at the main shop in Kyoto.
