寺町に行くと必ず立ち寄ります。上品な生菓子は、優雅な銘がついていてとても美しいです。特に春の桜のころの上生菓子は魅力的で、どれを買おうか、迷ってしまいます。菱岩さんのお花見弁当と、二条若狭屋の桜の生菓子…我が家の春の定番です。

お抹茶と上生菓子のセット1000円を頂きました。お抹茶はホールのアルバイトの方が点ててくださいます。上生菓子は目の前にお持ちくださり、その中から選びます。季節の紅葉をいただきました。金平糖がとても美味しかったです。

寺町通りにある二条若狭屋さんは、本店より少し間口が狭いが、町屋が並ぶ街並みに良く馴染んでいます。一階は菓子売り場を二階に上がると喫茶店室になっています。寺町通り沿いの席は、道の往来が感じられて、私は此処が一番好きです。 9月に入ったとは言え、京の町はとても暑く、今年最後のかき氷となるだろうと思いつつ、ふわふわのそれをいただきました。試食に出してもらった饅頭や金平糖も美味しかった。
