Hot Spring / Hot Spring Bath

This hot spring facility is in Kasagi Town, Soraku County, Kyoto Prefecture. It's spacious and open, and guests spend a relaxing time in its natural geothermal water that bubbles up from the foot of Mt. Kasagi. They have a large public bath, a cascading bath, and an open-air bath with a view of the seasonal scenery. They also have a jacuzzi and a sauna for their guests' enjoyment. There's an eatery and a restaurant on the premises, too, and it's fine to stop by just for a meal. A banquet hall is available for large groups.

Review of Kasagi Ikoi no Yakata

TripAdvisor Traveler Rating
Reviewed:2018/10/30

Its wooden tea houses, shuffling geisha, and spiritual sights have seen Kyoto hailed as the heart of traditional Japan, a world apart from ultramodern Tokyo. Despite being the Japanese capital for over a century, Kyoto escaped destruction during World War II, leaving behind a fascinating history which can be felt at every turn, from the fully gold-plated Kinkakuji Temple down to traditional customs such as geisha performances and tea ceremonies, which are still practiced to this day.
