Omuta City Zoo (大牟田市動物園)

This is a zoo surrounded by the lush nature of Enmei Park, located in just about the center of Omuta City. Inside are lions, tigers and squirrel monkeys, as well as a children’s amusement park with merry-go-rounds, a viewing platform and a picnic area, making it a place loved by people of all ages and families with children most of all. Popular events include animal petting activities.

Review of Omuta City Zoo
TripAdvisor Traveler Rating動物福祉という明確なコンセプトを打ち出し、動物の負担を減らしながら飼育する工夫は素晴らしいし、それを見学できるのも良いです。また身近に動物を見られる工夫がされていて、楽しめました。檻や柵ごしでなく、リスざるや孔雀、カンガルーを見学できたのは貴重な体験でした。
その他、観覧車、メリーゴー...
とても楽しかったです。少しだけ遊園地もあります。
ちょっと狭い檻とかもあったりしますが、動物たちが自由に行き来ができるように寝室解放してるところもあり。もちろん寝室に入ってしまった動物は見ることはできませんが、見れたら幸運ということで。
