Sankirou Tearoom (三宜楼茶寮)

Other Japanese Food

The Sankirou Tearoom is in Kyushu’s oldest large wooden structure, dating back from 1931, and still retains the charm of a Mojiko representative restaurant. The four Japanese-style rooms, surrounded by a rock garden, boast many impressive sights such as shitajimado windows and ranma transom windows. The food and course meals (gozen and kaiseki) are equally impressive. Here one can enjoy seasonal foodstuffs that are also a treat for the eyes, including famous Kanmon cuisine “fugu” (blowfish). It is an eight-minute walk from JR Mojiko Station.
